Questions & answers
We offer classes for adults and kids. Each class is designed for a specific age group — here’s what to expect in the kitchen.
No — everything is provided. Come as you are.
Good — that's most people. We don't start with technique, we start with vocabulary, safety, and self. Nobody touches a stove on day one.
Tell us before your first session. We plan around it — we don't want you finding out mid-recipe that something wasn't accounted for.
Yes. This is a working kitchen, not a lecture hall. Participants need to be able to stand, move, and engage for the full length of the session. If there's a physical limitation we should know about, tell us in advance and we'll figure out how to make it work.
We're trained for it and handle it immediately and directly. This is a real kitchen with real tools.
Because the work is done when it's done, not on our clock. Plan for a little flex.
Reach out and we'll talk about what makes sense for your situation — this isn't a blanket yes or no.
Talk to us. We'd rather have that conversation honestly than have you quietly disengage.
That's not a failure — that's the point where the rest of the group shows up for them.
No — and if they do, we'd love to know so we can talk with them about it. We take that word seriously. What we're building is a young cook: someone who notices, who thinks in process instead of shortcuts.
No. Home Cook 101 and Kitchen Basics are built for true beginners as much as anyone looking to sharpen existing skills.
Depends on the program — some (like Season's Table or Ink & Ingredients' One Seat option) are single-session. Others (Station Work, Off the Clock, cohort programs) are structured as multi-session commitments. Check the specific program page, or ask us directly.
Yes, for programs like The Next Course and trade cohorts — ask us when you enroll.
