What you'll do
Flavor 101 is for young people who love food but haven't found their thing yet — the kid who wants to cook but isn't sure where to start, or who's curious about everything from knife skills to social media recipes and just needs a place to explore.
Each session, students learn one real culinary technique at a time — the same fundamentals taught in professional kitchens, from mise en place to knife skills to building flavor. But at Kind Kitchen, technique is never just technique. Every skill is paired with a social-emotional tool, so organizing your station becomes a lesson in setting goals, and writing a recipe becomes a lesson in communicating clearly for someone else to follow.
Flavor 101 runs one to two times a month, October through April, with a break over the summer and a fresh start after Labor Day. $50 per class. No experience needed — just curiosity.
